My name is Katie Barsaleau. I was born in Canada and grew up in England in a lovely town just outside of London.

I moved to North Carolina in 1995 to attend UNCW. Over time, Wilmington has become home to me. I married a charming WPD Detective and had two sons. Jake is a senior attending UNC Chapel Hill and Ben is now a senior at AHS.

This is my 21st year teaching at AHS. I love my job. I have yet to wake up in the morning and not want to go to work. I hope that each one of my students will one day know that feeling.
